Cultivating food, wellness, and opportunity in West Baltimore.

The Grow Well Vertical Farm was founded by What The Sprout and is housed within the Langston Hughes Community, Business & Resource Center — advancing food security, wellness, and workforce development for West Baltimore residents.

Planting the Next Phase of Transformational Impact

Since 2023, What The Sprout has reached over 450 residents and 65 youth through food and wellness education. Over the next 6–8 months, we’re testing a self-sustaining model to grow deeper roots and measurable impact.

Grow Local Food

Harvest 500 + pounds of fresh greens for families and partners.

Train & Employ Locally

Equip 25 residents with hands-on experience in urban farming and green careers.

Grow Food & Food Security

Teach 200 residents to grow their own food and strengthen community resilience.

Therapeutic & Mental Wellness

Support 250 residents through 12 therapeutic workshops blending mindfulness, nutrition, and hands-on growing.

Environmental Stewardship

Host 8 outdoor sustainability sessions on soil health, native plants, and regenerative growing.

Build Partnerships
